Another Testimonial

April 21, 2009 by ciinc

I have dealt with Commercial Investigations, Inc. for many months, and it absolutely amazes me the amount of absurd comments that have been said about this company. I understand the internet is an open forum for the masses but I never thought I would have to stand up for a company that has helped me out so much. It dumbfounds me to read the things being said.

I would like to give you on some correct information about Commercial Investigations, Inc. I have sent a total of 30+ overdue accounts of mine in the past year or so. A majority of my debt owed was recovered, some collection agencies just get what they can take, but Commercial Investigations, Inc. pushed for a rather high recovery percentage. During phone calls they never yelled or cursed at me. I was not easily convinced to use C.I.I. services at first however they called me about twice in five months, first phone call I quickly brushed them off, second phone call it was a more in-depth conversation. The staff member I talked to was confident, assertive, and they kept a professional tone while on the phone. This is nothing like anything that has been posted online from what I can see.

William James once said, “Most people never run far enough on their first wind to find out they’ve got a second.” Think about that for a second, and apply that to the situation. As a collector or a company that provides services, you have to be persistent; you have to keep trying, keep calling, and staying on top of situations. Your first phone call may not succeed but your chances are raised the more often you call. I personally have never been a collector but in my field of work we sell things. You have to make someone want to buy your product or service, and if you have a solid lead you keep on it. To be honest, if you do not want Commercial Investigations, Inc. not to call you; be civilized with them, settle out your debt, or if you are a company they are contacting to see if you’re interested in their services, kindly tell them no, or put yourself on a no call list, it’s just that simple.

If you do not agree with what I said that is fine, we are all entitled to our opinion. If you do not agree with Commercial Investigations, Inc. that is fine but there is no need to come online write blatant slander and join a biased bandwagon. People who have commented on Commercial Investigations, Inc. have had almost zero if not zero experience with the company yet they write so much negative comments on them. I am a loyal client, who has nothing but great things to say.

The Art of Skip-Tracing

April 16, 2009 by ciinc

Skip tracing is a commonly used technique used by collection agencies, bounty hunters, and various other outfits.

The reason Commercial Investigations, Inc. feels a certain obligation and need to make a blog about skip-tracing. It is becoming harder and harder to find your debtor or your “target.” It is becoming much easier to fall off the grid now days, many people are not listed in the yellow book any more, and by I simple change of their cell phone number contact can become non existent.

If you are looking for a collections agency make sure you check with them about their skip tracing methods; are they cross referencing databases, are they checking with credit report companies, or criminal background check companies. Almost every job during the application process requests their personnel to submit information that is to be sent to these companies before one can get a job. Make sure your collection agency is looking at all possible circuits and venues to find your debtor.

Another thing to ask whoever is doing your  skip tracing work is if they are using pretexting as a method to find your “target.” A definition of pretexting taken from:

http://www.quantum3.co.za/CI%20Glossary.htm

“Pretexting refers to a specific form of deception in which the perpetrator acquires personal (usually finance-related) information through false pretences – that is, by making false statements, through misrepresentation, or by fraud – and subsequently uses it for some form of gain, or to avoid legal proces.”

Now pretexting is legal in most states and in most situations but do you want your name attached to it is a whole situation. At Commercial Investigations, Inc. we use only the most ethical, and effecient means of skip-tracing. C.I.I. wants our clients to have absolute ease that we are upholding their name and our name during the skip-tracing process. I understand people do not like collectors or businesses that use b2b (business to business) strategies but from what I read online about Commercial Investigations, Inc. these comments have gotten out of hand. My business residence is in the greater Los Angeles area, and b2b phone calls happen all day long. If I had a dollar for every single time a b2b phone call occurred that did not swing in my favor, well I’d be so rich I’d be paying someone, to pay someone else to write what I’m writing.

I have run my own business for 10 years now, and before that I have worked in almost every single industry out there. I’ve done telemarketing work, I’ve done retail, and I’ve done phone sales. I understand the ups and the downs of collections and b2b calling.

On some comments made against Commercial Investigations, Inc. staff was overly assertive on the phone. Every time I interact with them I have never had such an experience, if you treat someone with respect they will do the same. This leads me to believe that most of these alleged stories it was not Commercial Investigations, Inc. that were the ones creating the problem but the other people on the phone. No one wants to blame themselves especially on the internet, it’s a lot easier to jump on this bandwagon of bashing.

I first interacted with Commercial Investigations, Inc. over the phone from a b2b phone call. The first phone call I was not interested, they continued to give me their information and I kindly said no thank you and hung up. However about 3 months later I received another phone call, at this time I asked for some information and literature. I actually ran this through my personal attorney, had him read through the fine print and clearly understood what I might get myself into. After that I decided to send over one account. Needless to say it snowballed from there, I just kept sending more and more accounts. Now C.I.I. is an intricate part of my business. You may not want to give their services a chance but is there really a need to attack them online? Commercial Investigations, Inc collects on my debtors and they show results at a reasonable cost, plain and simple.

Commercial Investigation, Inc. Testimonial

April 15, 2009 by ciinc

I am not sure what is more upsetting, the fact I need to write something positive about a company I always deal with, or the fact people believe slander. My 1st experience with Commercial Investigations, Inc. I paid an upfront fee for two accounts I sent them. One of those they were able to collect in-house and the other they had to go to court. Commercial Investigations, Inc. won the law suit for me and they recovered a rather large amount of the actual debt. I had put my confidence in C.I.I. from that point and they have not let me down since.

Part of being a business owner or dealing with business management is the fact you have to take risks. I took the risk of paying an up front fee and was well rewarded. Some people get scared though of investments, and it seems some of them have voiced themselves online. The cost of me paying a lawyer and taking a debtor to court would be through the roof, plus it would have been much more time consuming if I hadn’t used Commercial Investigations, Inc. I do not care how you want to put it that is absolute truth.

Commercial Investigations, Inc. did not scam me, they collected on my debtors. It is costly now days to have tons of phones calling nationally, computer costs and paying someone or people to maintain them, then leasing a building or buildings. If you have a low balance debtor, or think “something is fishy” then go to a different company, don’t slam them and attack them online. I have some rather large balances a few in the six figure range, so the opportunity that C.I.I. offered me was perfect. I have zero complaints and in fact only have good things to say, so if you seriously need a company to collect on some accounts I would give Commercial Investigations, Inc. a shot.

The staff at Commercial Investigations, Inc. wants to thank all of you who have been sending us reviews and testimonials on our services. We also would like to say keep them coming! Feel free to email them to : commercialinvestinc@gmail.com and also please take a look at our website:

A Testimonial from one of our clients

April 14, 2009 by ciinc

I was recently contacted by Commercial Investigation, Inc.’s public relations rep. du to the fact that we have been doing business with each other for some time and have had quite a few of our accounts collected on, they asked if we would write a blurb about the company and our experience. I tried to brush them off saying, “I was too busy.” However they urged me to check online see what was being wrote and how they were trying to stop this nonsense. I am not very “internet-savvy” and pretty much only go online to pay a couple bills, and check my email. I had no idea what was being said about the company, I was absolutely astonished by all the comments that frankly seemed hysterical.

To be completely honest I had a good experience with the company but I probably would have never used them if I had read all those negative things online. I guess it just goes to show, never take anyone else’s word for “it.” Collections is never fun for anyone, however C.I.I. made me feel comfortable as the collector. That may sound kind of strange but for anyone who has ever owned their own business it is never fun collecting from a previous client. I try to treat all of my clients with the utmost respect and it’s hard when things go bad/wrong.

I have dealt with many collectors in the past 40 years, whether it is being the debtor or being the creditor, and I’ve never liked to be either. However I have received a certain level of respect with Commercial Investigations, Inc. and so have my debtors. The first few times I used C.I.I. I contacted some of my previous clients and asked them how they were treated. As I said, things go bad sometimes, but if you can see past some bad experiences it can make bonds with previous clients stronger. Every one of my previous debtors have said the staff from C.I.I. is the same as any other collection service they have dealt with.

So here is my two cents, I am sorry that some of you may have had bad experiences in the past with C.I.I. but I have had nothing but good experiences in the past, present and I’m pretty sure in the future.

We’re Taking a Stand

April 13, 2009 by ciinc

It is no secret that Commercial Investigations, Inc. has been attacked online for quite some time now. C.I.I. is now starting a “counter-attack” campaign against all of these negative comments and feedback. The fact of the matter is for every negative story about our company there are a slew of positive experiences. However in the collections industry we deal with C.E.O.’s or their managers, business owners, financial account supervisors etc. people who do not have time to come online and post about their experiences with Commercial Investigations, Inc. Clients of ours expect results and when we show them results we do not get twenty positive comments online, we just receive more business. This situation creates a void between the truth of our company and the slander written online.

Commercial Investigation, Inc. is now going to try our absolute best to fill that void. C.I.I. has recently and is currently contacting some of our most loyal clients from years past to this day. We are encouraging them to write testimonials of these positive experiences. If Commercial Investigations, Inc. operated as negative as online articles and stories have stated, C.I.I. would not be open for business. Not only would we not be open for business we would not continue to grow and gain more clients the way Commercial Investigation, Inc. is in fact doing.

This leads back to the void previously stated. A business such as Commercial Investigations, Inc. continues to show growth and expansion in the real world, with customers and clients continually coming back and a base of ever growing new clients, yet online there is a plethora of negative stories. The saddest part is people will attack our company just because of the nature of our services. It’s absolute fact no one wants to deal with collectors. In these hard economic times no one wants to take the few dollars some people have, which is why our clients send accounts to us. Notice in the collection process no one blames the debtor, and no one blames the creditor, simply everyone attacks the middle man. How often do we hear the term don’t shoot the messenger, but that is the absolute truth when it comes to collection agencies.

With all this having been said, Commercial Investigations, Inc. says, “No More…” We are going to be creating various blogs, and other methods of sending information to the mass public. Once again at this time we are urging all previous clients that have had positive experiences please contact us. We also are urging all other collection agencies to stand up to this injustice. Here at C.I.I. we have been wronged and enough is enough. Commercial Investigations, Inc. we’re taking a stand.
